A702 and Penicuik park

PostSubject: A702 and Penicuik park   Sat Oct 13, 2007 7:00 pm
When I took my son and his friends to the airport this morning I noticed that the A702 was closed at Mauricewood road. I went for a cycle up Bellwood earlier on to find out why. I wasn't the only one either Smile Anyway, there wasn't much to see and all they seem to have done so far is dig a shallow trench across the width of the road.

Afterwards I cycled down to Penicuik park and found the skateboard park very busy. Also, a high fence has now been put up around part of the playing field. It has been marked out as football pitch and there are goal posts. There were quite a few kids playing there as well Smile I don't think I have ever seen that park as busy as it is nowadays.
