I'm just back from a week staying in a caravan site near Blackpool. The accommodation was fine, the site was good and I just chilled out. However, years ago when I was last in Blackpool with my wife we got lost and it took us ages to find where we had parked our trailer
tent Crying or Very sad

This time I borrowed my son's sat nav just to be on the safe side. I still don't trust these things, especially when they tell you to take the first exit at the next roundabout and the roundabout has probably been replaced with traffic lights. I guess he needs to get an update for it. I'm also sure that when we went to Fleetwood market, it took us on the longest and slowest route possible. Talking about slowest, my biggest gripe was about the speed cameras. It was speed camera hell Mad The sat nav warns you about them with a very irritating beeep beeep......... Every time we went out it hardly stopped and the speed limit was a measly 30mph Sad

As I'm still on holiday we decided to go to the cinema today to see the Karate Kid. My son is with Orange mobile and as I have an Orange broadband I decided to register so that we could have 2 for 1. It only cost us £16 for 5 of us Very Happy

Anyway, to kill two birds with one stone I offered to pick up my mum's old washing machine on the way and take it to the dump. As we were nearing the house Moira phoned my mum and asked her if we should go to the front or back of the house. She said the back so we parked there but the gate was locked. Moira phoned the house but nobody answered. I then walked round to the front and found two women kneeling beside my mother who had fallen over. An ambulance came and she was taken to hospital with my brother who had been brought from his work by one of the neighbours. I have now heard that they suspect she may have had a stroke, either before or due to the fall Sad

Thanks. I went to visit her this afternoon and she cannot remember anything about what happened at the time of the accident. She is also a bit confused about how long she has been in hospital. I think she is mixing up her current stay with the one she recently had for a hip replacement. However, she was her usual chatty self. I am now waiting to find out how they plan to treat her.
