Well, it was that time of year again for the dreaded MOT ritual. You know the drill. You take your car to the garage, hand over wads of cash and receive your beloved vehicle back looking and feeling exactly the same as it was before the test.

I had asked for some servicing to be done as well and was told that one of the springs needed to be replaced (I had the same problem last year on the other side of the car). When I went to collect it on Monday they told me that it was not going to be ready. So when I returned last night, I was not amused to be told that the wrong part had been sent. They gave me a courtesy car so that soothed my anger slightly since it meant that I would not have to take the bus back to town and then home again. However, when I went to collect the car tonight I was not happy to be presented with a bill for nearly £500 Sad It was bad enough that they charged me £45 to replace the windscreen wipers. However, they really took the biscuit when they had the audacity to charge me 99 pence for a NUT Shocked
