Subject: Another crash at Mauricewood Fri Jul 08, 2011 8:56 am
I noticed on the BBC Travel update this morning that the A701 had been blocked once more by ANOTHER crash at the Mauricewood Road junction. There was one just last week and plenty of near-hits there as cars dash out on to the main road so when will the council take some action to make it safer?

This mornings crash was one car v the fence and quite a bit back from the junction! Not sure what you want the council to do?

I had a look earlier on to see how many injury accidents are happening at that particular junction over the past 10 years. It seems that there has only been about one per year with some years seeing none at all. Of course some of the accidents may have been damage only and not reported to the police.
