Does anyone know why the council have started cutting around the edges
of grassy areas and leaving the rest to grow wild? Are they trying to save
money or is there some environmental benefits to be had from doing this?

Cannot think why but I suspect it might possibly be to save some money??? Remember this is Midlothian Council we are talking about!

if the grounds too dry mebbe the cuting would jist rip it up an make holes instaed o cutting the taps aff . so mebbe they cut the edgy bits tae make things look tidy
