Does anyone know if you have to wear a crash helmet while driving a quad bike on the road. It's just that for the last two nights I saw a guy driving without one. Last night he had a young kid as a passenger and the kid was wearing one.

Found this site which says that you don't need to wear a helmet, rather like the motor-trikes. Don't think I would fancy riding one without though, especially with flies and dust blowing in your eyes

Interesting article and as you say there does not seem to be any legal requirement for wearing a helmet. However, I just hope he has all the other legalities for the bike in order.
