Two questions

1. Does anyone know why the brown garden rubbish wheelie bins were not emptied yesterday?

2. One of my kids will be 17 soon. Can anyone recommend a female driving instructor for her?

I've just had a reply from the recycling people about why the bins were not collected.

Brown bin collections were cancelled for the last two weeks to enable us to minimise disruption caused by the strike action on Wed 24th Sept. This enabled us to free up staff to help with the extra recycle collections that were necessary after the strike action.
You should have received a card telling you of the planned cancellations and changes to the brown bin uplifts.
Your nest collection day will be Friday 17th October.

We apologise for any inconvenience arising from these cancellations of collection, which happened as a result of the industrial action.

Well, it wasn't just me that didn't know about it as most houses in the street seemed to have their bins out.
