Did you know that the famous Battle of Fearlessness was actually filmed in the Pentlands just up from the Flotterstone?
(Some sites on the internet will tell you it was filmed in the Urals. But they're wrong. It was filmed in the Pentlands.)
More recently, a commercial for Belhaven has had an airing. It was also filmed in the Pentlands. I haven't seen this one yet, but I was there when they were making it. I believe it features two blokes walking in the hills and then going for a pint in a very crowded pub. The pub is the Flotterstone and the customers were all "extras" crammed in to a back room. About 40 of them, I reckoned.
Is the area becoming in some way "attractive" to makers of T.V. commercials?
