| I'm sorry about the the lack of a welcome. My only excuse is that I've had a bit of a cold over the past few days and I'm kind of busy at home/work. However, welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy your stay | |

| Well, thank you Lothianlass, or should I say Lothian Lady, and a belated welcome to you. | |

| Perhaps I am missing something here. I was brought in an era where words like; please, thanks and how do you do, were elements of every day parlance. Times have changed I know, but speaking for myself and those I know, a spoonful of courtesy makes for a happier day. I can take Basil's quip two ways. An endearing bit of banter or discourageing members from engageing in a Forum for Midlothian, I trust it is the former. | |

| I guess that given the history of this forum (this is my third attempt since taking over from the guy that originally ran it) I have become a little disillusioned. I therefore do not always make quite the same effort as I used to. However, don't let me put you off as I'm still here and hopefully others also like having the forum. One thing that really annoys me though is when someone posts some useless drivel and then hides some spam in it | |

| Thankless task admin, looking through the posts there some interesting and informed posts, all in all, a useful tool for the community. Perhaps the crime prevention panel could highlight cyber vandalism. Keep up the good work. | |

So was I but this is an on-line forum, for God's sake. Take it as you find it or leave it alone. And while you're at it, can you be just a little less cryptic? Pointing us in the direction of the Advertiser is no way to start a discussion. Not everyone round here reads the local rag, and there are some ex-pats around that can't. | |

| Times have changed, I will add some meat to the other post, for non Advertiser readers and those off shore. It took me some time to find the forum, so I will take it as I found it.. | |

| Thanks for the extra info on the legal action thread, omala. Especially useful for those of us "off-shore" who are still interested in what goes on in Midlothian. Sorry you feel a bit ignored. I doubt it's personal. Andy is a busy man and does a great job in his spare time.
