Hidden talents

It just goes to show you, I thought I knew my kids. However, one of them (she's just turned 16) came in yesterday and said that she had asked her teacher if she could show another kid how to weld something. She explained to the teacher how she was going to do it and then proceeded to make the weld. The teacher was so impressed he showed her handiwork to another teacher who told her that she had made a better job than they could have done. It seems that when she was younger her next door neighbour made a living making wrought iron gates etc and had taught her how to weld. Life is just full of surprises
