I mean that bit that used to be part of the old "North Camp" aka the "Milton Bridge Camp".

For a few weeks now, there have been diggers and other heavy plant doing something there.

A civilian local says it's to be a new administration block for Glencorse Barracks.
A soldier tells me it's to be an all-weather football pitch - not just for the army, but the community as a whole.

Do any of you know for sure?

As far as I know, planning permission went in ages ago for an all weather football pitch.
Not sure if any other buildings were planned as well but don't think so.

This page on the planning site should have all the info

https://planning-applications.midlothian.gov.uk/OnlinePlanning/centralDistribution.do?action=dispatch&caseType=Application&caseNo=10/00012/DPP

Big shocks to see that a public sector project takes ages to happen after permission has been given!!!
