Anyone got any suggestions on how to get something done about this water which has been pouring out in to the Dean Burn for several weeks now? The prerssure is too strong and the water too clean for it just to be "rainwater runoff" as I was told when I contacted Scottish Water.

The water is still pouring out here so here are some questions for Scottish Water:

Why is the water so clean if it is "groundwater"?

Why does the pressure stay constant all the time even when it ahs not rained for a few days?

How come I have never seen this amount of water coming out there in all the 36 years I have lived here?

Is it just a coincidence that we started to have lower water supply pressure problems around the same time that this flow began back in January?

How many gallons of water have poured out of here? You could put a hydro-electric generator on it and save a fortune on electricity!

At last the truth about this water is revealed. It seems that Scottish Water told myself, the council and the Advertiser a story which was somewhat far from the truth, as it now turns out that the water comes from the Talla Aqueduct which has been diverted in to this overflow pipe up near Deanburn.
Very ironic that they are running this TV ad campaign at the same time as thousands of gallons of clean water pour out in to the stream!

 lol!

According to this article on the STV News site, the upgrade work has been finished - so why is the water still pouring out????

They have the story up on the Midlothian Advertiser website so hopefully there will be the real story later in the week!
