Saw a sign about buses being diverted on Sunday (the 49) so took a look and found this is happening;
SHERIFFHALL ROUNDABOUT IMPROVEMENT WORKS
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT UPDATE 13th AUGUST 2008
BEAR Scotland has announced new temporary traffic management measures at the A720 Sheriffhall Roundabout.
As part of the ongoing improvement works, it will be necessary to reduce the A720 at Sheriffhall Roundabout to one lane in each direction between 00.30hrs on Sunday 17th August and 05.00hrs on Monday 18th August.
At the same time, the A7, A68 and the A6106 side roads leading to the roundabout will be closed as will the exits from the roundabout onto the A7(South) and A68(South). Local diversions will be in place.
During this time, bus services will be diverted and shuttle buses provided to serve affected routes. Further details will be distributed locally.
These restrictions have been planned in close consultation with Lothian and Borders Police and the local authorities and are necessary to allow the roundabout to be completely resurfaced in a safe manner.
Similar restrictions are also planned for the following two weekends: 24th and 25th August and 31st August and 1st September.
Motorists are asked to pay particular attention to these traffic management measures and drive cautiously when passing through the roundabout while the improvements works are on-going.
The improvement works have been carefully planned, designed and timed to minimise the impact on the travelling public. However, motorists are warned to expect delays due to the volume of traffic on the route.
