It's raining Empty
PostSubject: It's raining   It's raining Icon_minitimeThu Aug 14, 2008 7:12 pm

In case anybody hadn't noticed, it's raining again Sad However, this time I came home from work to find Moira and my son in wellie boots. Apparently the rain started just after 4 o'clock and before long the patio in our back garden began to fill up. They had working for an hour trying to empty it and when I arrived it was about 4 inches from entering the house Crying or Very sad I then spent another hour until it finally emptied and the rain went off. I'm going to have to try and find a water pump somewhere.

I hear that some places in Penicuik have had it quite bad as well. Has anyone else had problems?

Mauricewood Road was closed by the police early this evening as the stream flooded across the road AGAIN. Around 8 o'clock the council guys came along and cleared it away (no doubt on overtime) so it was open once more....until the next time.
Most gardens round me have nice new "water features" and the path alongside the Mauricewood Memorial is pretty much wrecked from the water running down it.
