There seems to be an article in the Advertiser about it. However, the time seems to be 10am rather than 9am. http://www.midlothianadvertiser.co.uk/leisure/Call-up-for-Penicuik-clean.4920277.jp

Well, the Cuiken glen clean up seemed to go quite well with quite a few people turning up to help. The weather was kind to us and it was neither too hot nor too cold. Although I left early, I still managed to fill a few sacks and remove some bikes, lawnmowers and various other items from the burn. I liked the guy who was talking to some women walking their dogs. He told them he had found a £50 note and asked if any of them had lost it. Such an honest chap Smile

Andy, thanks for coming along. There was a great turn out. We had 17 "Dirty Weekenders" from Edinburgh turn up along with 2 other voolunteers who saw the small piece in the Evening News and came out from Edinburgh on the bus.

If any of the forum members can identify other areas, please fell free to pass on details and I will make sure it is seen to.

Thanks again

Chris

I see that there was mention of the clean up in the Advertiser this week, together with pictures. It seems that there were about 50 people involved, including 10 who were serving community service orders, which surprised me.
