First things first. I have to take my hat off to the Mod Andy! More than one person commented on the shift you put in again today Andy. Tremendous!
Andy we got the door and trolleys and steel cassing moved. Have a look down in the Beeslack Woods when you are passing in the next few days and see the difference.

Moving on, Penicuik has a population of 25000. 25 volunteers turned up today. How poor is that? Many people post on this forum complaining about the state of Penicuik, the shops, the roads, the residents etc I didn't see you there today? If 25 people can make such a difference in one morning, imagine what we can do if 10 times that turned up? Sadder still, we had 2 volunteers come from Peebles to help out! So next time you come on the forum to complain about something, think......... Were you there? talk is cheap. A footnote to those who made one, two or all three events, Thank you. Even an hour of your time

Thanks Chris. It was pretty hard going and there were a few times when I was in the burn that I thought the water was going to come over my wellies Smile As I was cycling home I saw one of the guys with a microwave oven that I had found in the burn. I did try to move a motorbike frame that I found but it was too much. It probably needed a couple of others to help yank it free from the mud. Anyway, I still felt kind of satisfied when I had finished.

The idea seems to be catching on. There was a group of people cleaning up the top end of Belwood Road and Mauricewood Rd this weekend.

I've no idea who they were, but well done! who ever you were.

It was me and another resident from Bellwood Road (Hugh) from Stadlestones who is as angry as me. We were 2 1/2 hours at it and cleared all the way up the Mauricewood Road. Imagine if there had been 10 of us........ would have been a skoosh. Half an hour and you would have had the rest of the day to yourself Anyone wants to get involved just contact me. The litter picks takes place almost every weekend. Please?
