| So the Callyr Inn at Straiton has finally come down following on the heels of the car showroom building in Loanhead and the cottages at Straiton. The demolition men must have made a few quid this year!  | |

| Good to see more retail units being planned for Straiton. Apart from Comet, JJB Sports, old Next and the 2 empty units next to Halfords there are no empty shops at all there so must be agood idea to build some more! Wonder when they will start constructing more shops in Penicuik?  | |
