I recently found this building in the grounds of Penicuik House. Does anyone know what it was used for? Was it for birds or was it just a folly?

Thanks, Terregles seems to be an old name but it led me to this

which shows it to be a dovecot.

aye terreagles is the same as kirkland it means the same
it says this ower the door but its a bricket up
