Tourists may soon be flocking to see Penicuik as it features in the new "Lightening the Load" advertising campaign for the Scottish Financial Health Service website. Scenes in the TV advert include shots of John Street and the High Street.
Not been able to find the advert online so you will have to watch out for it on STV.....then beware of the stampede!

Is that to do with the advert where people are going around with red backpacks and one of them is falling all over the place because his is so big? I don't recall seeing Penicuik though or maybe that will form another part of the campaign.

That is the one....the guy with the rucksack goes past the Hospice Charity shop and then is shown in the High Street with the Peni Deli in the background. Blink and you might miss it!

My wife has just reminded me that she told me ages ago that she was there when they were filming it. Just saw it on telly earlier and right enough the familiar landmarks are there
