Dog mess

Sometimes I think that I'm too soft. I was passing Ocean Terminal at lunch time and a guy was waiting on his dog doing the toilet on a patch of grass close by. I was wondering if he would clear up the mess but when the dog finished he suddenly took off. I noticed that something had fallen from his pocket and realised it was his phone. He did not notice and was half way across the road. I was in two minds whether to teach him a lesson and not tell him. However, I relented and shouted 'Excuse me, your phone', and pointed back towards the phone and where the dog had done the business. He then ran back to retrieve his phone.

Strangely enough, my wife suggested doing the same thing.
