Rubbish collection Empty
PostSubject: Rubbish collection   Rubbish collection Icon_minitimeThu Jan 10, 2008 6:59 pm

I was a bit disappointed that the council didn't have an additional grey bin collection between Christmas and New year as they did last year. However, when they did finally empty it they left about a quarter of the rubbish in the bottom Evil or Very Mad Then the bin cleaners failed to turn up. Now after putting out the recycling last night, it turns out that the bin men are so far behind with the collections that they won't be able to pick it up until tomorrow or Saturday Mad I've just put out the brown bin with our Christmas tree in it which is due to be emptied tomorrow Rolling Eyes

Has anyone else in the Penicuik area noticed that the people who empty the recycling boxes suddenly seem to hate their job?

They've managed to break my black lid twice in two weeks and the boxes themselves now seem to get just chucked anywhere after they've been emptied.

They can't blame the wind!: by coincidence, the days when the boxes get strewn everywhere have - so far - been windless.

For a while, after emptying our grey bin they kept leaving it on the road instead of putting it back on the pavement. The lids on our recycling bins have been knocked about a bit but are still good for a while yet.
