Is this the thin end of the wedge? First they started charging for bulky uplifts and now for garden waste. Will they be charging for food waste next? Coming soon after they start charging for brown bins, there will be contactless card readers on all pedestrian crossings so you have to pay to cross safely. Also coming at the same time will be coin meters on streetlights - if you don't pay they will go out. The big money earner though is going to be a £5 charge on Twitter and Facebook for any posts and comments which complain or criticise the council so take care or it could prove costly.
