| Glad they told us this as I had not noticed myself! I feel like changing the name of my street to Pothole Drive because it is so bad - someone filled in ONE hole yesterday but there are dozens more! I did see someone taking photos of them so maybe something will happen. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-12475589 | |

| For the past two MOTs I have had to have suspension springs on my car replaced and I am sure that it is down to the condition of the roads I know that the council did make an effort to fill in a large number of potholes last year but I'm afraid that due to the weather and the fact that some of the repairs were less than adequate, more work needs to be done. Thankfully they are fixing the dual carriageway between Burdiehouse and Straiton which really was a nightmare | |

| I think one of the worst roads at the moment must be Grahams Road between Auchendinny & Glencorse, nothing can keep to its own side of the road safely. Not only is the road surface covered in pot holes, there are the speed bumps and the verge on the golf course side almost appears to be disintegrating. | |

| Interesting site which shows just how bad the roads are around here.....and also how little is being done to fix them. I know the government only get £50 billion in road / fuel / transport taxes but surely they could spare a few quid to fix them? http://www.fixmystreet.com/reports/Midlothian?all=1 | |

| Fear not residents of Boyd Orr Drive, road will be redone in July/august. Wish I could say the same for the other streets in Penicuik! | |

| On Thursday I drove past some council workmen shovelling in loose tar into the potholes along Grahams Road. I'm glad to see something done there but what happens when we get a downpour? The tar will end up at the bottom of the hill. Surely, this road need something more than a temporary measure? | |

| I cycled down there yesterday and although they have filled ln quite a few potholes, there are some they have missed. It still looks like a patchwork quilt as well. It needs to be rebuilt but I can't see that happening any time soon | |

| Well, the good news is that Grahams road has been closed so that it can be re-surfaced The bad news, if I remember correctly, is that it will last for 4 weeks. I'll need to find some other way to get down to the old railway for a cycle now | |

| Seems a crazy length of time to shut Grahams Road simply to resurface. Maybe there is some strengthening work to the roadsides needed. Anyway, it's the residents of Auchendinny that don't drive that are being . Obviously there are no buses going thru the village now so if you want a bus you need to phone 24 hrs before you need the bus to get a driver to collect you and take you to a bus stop on the dual carraigeway!!! Here's hoping it's all worth it & maybe Greenlaw Mains I is next in the list (must be a very long list lol!) | |

| Does seem an excessive amount of time but Grahams Road has been in one hell of a state, though when main roads are in a state it's surely hard to decide which roads get the time and money spent on them. | |

| Well, Grahams road is open to traffic again. However, the speed bumps are back with a vengence They are now spread out from one side of the road to the other so wide axled vehicles can no longer avoid them. | |

| Yes Admin I agree but we can't complain as this is a vast improvement. At least the humps are all now the same size and equally spaced. They aren't too severe. MDC are clearly spending a fair amount on road improvements with the whole of Greenlaw Mains I being re-surfaced, so good on them. | |

| Apparently Ladywood is also on the agenda shortly, as far as I know it's to be the main road that makes up the bus route. | |
