New Recycling Centre

I wonder if this means that the Edinburgh Crystal sign will finally be taken down from the corner of that site!

Don't blame them.
Next to a school is not the place for a recycling centre. The Bisphenol A scare is just that — a scare — but the increased traffic and the potential for noise and smell and just general unpleasantness should mean this is put where most civilised people have them — outside the built-up area. Though that would probably attract complaints either from the tree-huggers or the housing developers.
As for "most of the traffic will be outside school hours" — in your dreams!
